Grape varieties

90% grenache noir, 10% syrah

Soil

Its soil is clay-limestone with rolled pebbles and  safre (a soft sandstone found in the southern Rhône Valley).

Localities: Valori, l’Etang, Cristia and Coudoulet.

Superb red colour with hints of purple

Nose

Very fragrant, as soon as you swirl the wine in your glass, it gives off notes of coffee, mocha, violet, blackberry, blackcurrant and a touch of cinnamon.

Mouth

Tanins veloutés et fondus, des notes de pruneau, de cerises à l’eau de vie, long sur une fraicheur remarquable

Suggestions for food and wine pairings:

Game or meat in sauce, or roasted on a spit. Hard cheese such as Comté 18 months of age, Beaufort or real Swiss Gruyère.
