Along this renowned “Route des Vins”, in a region overflowing with history, you will find Les Genêts wine cellar and gites in an enchanting setting, surrounded by the dentelles de Montmirail.

You will learn about the history of this region by strolling through the many little villages, such as Séguret or Gigondas, found on the slopes of the dentelles de Montmirail.
At only 10km from Vaison la Romaine, you can visit this pretty Roman town. The town stretches out around an enormous rock and is dominated by the ruins of the castle of the Counts of Toulouse (XXI and XV century).
Continuing towards the north east you will come across the towns of Nyons and Baronnies – the land of olives and apricots.
Travelling towards the south west, after leaving Sablet, there are two towns to discover: Orange and Avignon. Orange is a Roman town, like Vaison la Romaine, and has many places to visit, including its Arc de Triomphe and antique theatre.
A little further away, Avignon is famous for being the home of the Pope in the 1340’s. Why not spend a day visiting the Pope’s palace, the renowned bridge (“Le Pont d’Avignon”) or one of the many museums inside the beautiful city walls ?
